Welcome to the Saltney Ferry CP School website, working together we shall all succeed

Croeso i Ysgol Saltney Ferry!

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I am both delighted and proud to welcome you to Saltney Ferry C.P. School’s website.

Saltney Ferry is a growing County Primary School based in Saltney Ferry on the outskirts of Chester. The name derives from the ferry that used to operate across the River Dee transporting pedestrians and cyclists -a footbridge has now replaced the ferry.

The school caters for children from the ages of 3 – 11 years and we also have ‘Saltney Small Steps Playgroup’ onsite for children aged from 2 years 4 months.

At Saltney Ferry we strive to provide an inclusive and rounded education, setting good foundations for future development and to help children to realise that learning is fun and lifelong. We have high expectations for our pupils in their work and behaviour, supported by a dedicated team of staff who work extremely hard to ensure that all our children reach their full potential.

We are proud of our developing school farm, being the first CPH (County Parish Holding) registered school farm in North Wales to hold livestock. This feeds into our curriculum and learning opportunities for our pupils.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

Thank you for visiting!

Mr Nick Martin
